1st Day of School Aug. 27 and Sept. 4

Jinettie was sooo excited for school to start this year.  I had mixed feelings.  I was excited for her to start, but I wasn't excited for her to be gone ALL day long.  Her teacher is Mrs. Pierce and Jinettie actually got to go work 1 on 1 with her because she was soo advanced last year.  It was rough the first few weeks.  The boys did not know what to do without her.  She loves taking a cold lunch-- which is sometimes a chore for me, but she loves it.  She will actually go through and look at which school lunch she wants.  Her first PT conference Mrs. Pierce told us that she is wonderful.  She says that she even has Jinettie read to the class and she thinks that is pretty cool.  She also gets to help other kids who may need help.  We are working on her comprehension right now.  She reads well and fast, but is more like me and doesn't comprehend as well.  She is doing much better now that she is aware of it.

We definitely don't take normal pictures at our house--- starting with DAD.

Cole started a few weeks later.  He was so excited because he got to ride the bus to preschool.  He had qualified last year for speech help so this year I decided to try out their preschool.  So, the school district runs buses for these kids that qualify.  He has been doing so well.  He really needed this year even though he could have gone this year.  He has grown soo much and matured so much.  He is more advanced than the other kids in his preschool which has really boosted his confidence.  He has worked hard on his speech and the teachers just love him.

That leaves me home with Jace Tues and Thurs from 12- 3 by ourselves.  I think he loves it.  It is fun to just have him.  We usually go and get our grocery shopping done then.

Here is another picture of Jinettie to get it on camera wearing different clothes.  She has had a clothes thing for sometime.  Last year we went through many different phases of what she wanted to wear and then something started bugging her with that, so then she quit wearing those.  It has been a trial of patience for me.  Last year she started this counting thing.  She would take her fingers and start at the collar and then count how many fingers it would take to get to her Adams Apple.  Then she would rip the shirt off and say she couldn't wear that one.   Then, not too long after that she started taping her shirts to her neck-- after going to school and coming home and then taping her PJ's as well it started to irritate her neck.  Thank goodness-- that one took some patience to not fight with her on.  Now being 4 months into school she has had her days.  For the new year we made goals, one of hers is to not be so picky.  She has been doing very well at wearing more things.  She even wore a shirt she got for her bday in October for the first time in January.
