A "SPECIAL" Treat!

When we lived in Casper we were so lucky to have met such an amazing couple.  Jinettie was about 2 years old when she ventured out of our row at Stake Conference to go back about 8 rows to sit with Brother Hein.  I told her if she went she had to stay, she would not be able to go back and forth.  She picked up her crayons and paper and "slowly" made her way to Brother Hein.  I couldn't believe it!!  She stayed their for most of the meeting.  That was the beginning of her falling in LOVE with Brother Hein.  Since then we had to sit on the same bench with them at church every Sunday.  She would look for them to see where they were sitting.  After church Bro. Hein would bring a little present for Jinettie to take home (something small that their own grandkids grew out of).  To say the least she was spoiled!!  We then started taking walks during the week to go visit them, because waiting until Sunday to see Bro. Hein was just too long to wait.  He then became her Grandpa Hein (which I think they both LOVED that).  Sister Hein did her share of spoiling as well.  Before we moved, they left about a month before us to serve a mission in Nauvoo.  Sister Hein made Jinettie this cute cute shirt-- that couldn't get washed quick enough.  She was even kind enough to patch it after Jinettie had cut it.  We have been lucky to keep in touch with them since we have moved.  Our family have been so blessed to have met these two.  Especially me!!  Just talking to them and being around them makes me a better person.  They are amazing people who are very special to us and we are lucky that they have a daughter that lives 40 minutes away so we get to see them.  After I got off the phone with Sister Hein to tell the kids they were coming-- the day couldn't go by quick enough :).  They came to our house and the kids got to show them all of their things (took Jace a little to warm up) and then we headed to McDonalds.  It was a fun fun day!!
One more story about Brother Hein and Jinettie.  This was right after we moved to Burley, so about 2 years ago she was talking about getting married.  She was saying she didn't want to marry Matthew Batty (because she didn't want her name to be Batty).  Matthew was her best friend from Casper.   Instead she told me that she wanted to marry Brother Hein in the temple!!  IT was sooo cute!
